Amanda and Me at The Grand Canyon

This year has been an absolute whirlwind. I have no clue where summer and most of the fall went. We are almost halfway through November, and soon we will be head first into winter. Part of why my perception of time has been so skewed was that I was preparing to get married over the past year. When it came down to making artwork and getting things going for the wedding, the artwork needed to take a back seat for a couple months. I noticed that the last time I made a post on this blog was back in July. In July, I moved into an apartment and spent the rest of the summer trying to befriend the giant spiders that live in my window, more on that later. September was a total blur leading up to the big day, which was the 27th. All of the planning was totally worth it. The day was perfect. It was the best day of my life. For the honeymoon, we went to Arizona. During our stay, my wife and I (it is still weird saying that I have a wife) went to the Grand Canyon. I took many photographs during the trip. You will see those in about 3 years, because that is how long it will take for me to edit them. Anyway, I made a point to take photographs of us rather than just shooting the landscape we visited. I ended up with a ton of photographs. I cannot wait to scan them in and work on them. Unfortunately, they will most likely never make it to my website or blog. That wasn’t the point of taking them. I wanted to use my craft to make some lovely shots of our experience. This is not really one of those shots. It makes me laugh, so it is just as important as the serious shots.
